The 40th Scottish Recorder Course is taking place on the 2nd-4th September 2022. We very much hope to see everyone this year.
After an extremely trying and worrying couple of years, it is a huge relief for us to be able to meet again. Even more exciting is the prospect of us celebrating our 40th anniversary, originally all arranged for September 2020. We may be two years late, but we very much plan to make up for that!
We have a few surprises up our sleeves, but I wanted to let you in on one of them; I can’t keep it to myself any longer! We have commissioned a new work from Soren Sieg which we will rehearse and then ‘premiere’ on the Saturday evening. I believe that Soren may even be making an appearance to hear it being played!
With this in mind, I would like to open our Saturday evening session to any friends and family members who would like to come along to listen. So please spread the word. I don’t expect a huge audience, but some extra bodies would help to make it even more of an event – and you don’t get much for free, especially these days! I don’t want it to be particularly formal; it’s only a rehearsal with a play through, so whilst the session starts at 7pm, visitors would be welcome to arrive any time after that.
I am very much looking forward to welcoming you on Friday September 2nd. Until then, take care.
Stuart
